Joakim Noah elbows Chris Paul at All-Star Game
For those who live outside of the Windy City, the name Joakim Noah usually brings a sigh of disgust and a feeling of pure hatred often reserved for dictators and despots. Despite the fact that Noah has improved each season and is one of the league’s best big men, the free spirited Chicago Bull is neither very good at nor concerned with making friends on the court.
Whether insulting the city of Cleveland, trash talking the league’s stars, or just giving the hairy eyeball to opposing players, the candid center is held in contempt by many players and fans.
Yet despite the widespread disapproval rating, the sixth year veteran made it to his first All-Star game on Sunday as a reserve. If the All-Star game is solely focused on entertaining the fans, Noah did not get the memo.
Grinding it out as if it was a Sunday night game in Milwaukee, Noah finished with eight points, ten rebounds, three assists and a blocked shoot in sixteen minutes.
“I just felt like I might as well go out there and give it everything I’ve got,” Noah said according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I can’t half-[expletive] it or I would really look like [expletive].”
Chris Paul learned the hard way that Joakim was not playing halfheartedly on the court Sunday as evident in the clip below.
